The Leishi is a lesser divinity that has fallen into ruin and become a demon.
According to the eastern region within the seas of the Classic of Mountains and Seas, Leishi lives in Leize Lake and has the power to call down lightning by pounding its stomach. It is said to take the form of a human with a dragon's body, or a human with the beak, wings, and legs of a bird, depending on when the tale was told. In the Lunheng written by Wang Chong of the Later Han, Leishi is depicted as having a form akin to that of a young giant wrestler, carrying a drumstick in the right hand, and a drum in the other.

- Any Metal-related spell trivializes the fight against him. Alternatively, Fire and Water are also a good call.
- Use the Whistling Vortex Martial Arts to easily stagger Leishi.
Strategy Guide
Once you approach the area, Leishi will spawn. During the animation, you can sneak in a couple of attacks to deal slight damage. Do not overextend your combos as he will immediately attack afterward. His moveset consists of short-ranged melee attacks, he can close the gap when he starts charging toward you, but his execution of attacks are fairly slow so you can easily dodge these. His fastest attack is where he performs three consecutive mallet slams on the ground. But this move can be anticipated as you will always see how he raises his weapon before attacking. You can either block or dodge through each attack. He has two moves that involves a combo of attacks that closes the gap between you two, the startup is slow so you can easily keep your distance once you anticipate the attack. You can also reposition yourself behind him and attack him from there. Dealing a fatal strike will deal significant damage, make use of your Martial Arts and Wizardry Spells when you can.
In summary, try overwhelimg Leishi with close-ranged attacks, using Whistling Vortex can quickly deplete his health, he can also be staggered. Anticipate his slow execution of moves and attack accordingly.
