Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are powerful holy beings based on creatures from Chinese mythology and folklore. These creatures have the power to repel Demonic Qi and players can call upon them to gain great strength and overcome difficult challenges in combat. Each Divine Beast is attuned to one of the Five Phases and can channel the power of their respective element to aid players in different ways depending on the Beast used. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Divine Beasts Mechanics Overview
Equipping Beasts & the Divine Beast Gauge
Players can equip one Divine Beast at a time, and the currently equipped Beast can be switched for another one at any Battle Flag checkpoint throughout a mission, allowing you to tune your build and strategies to adapt to varying situations and enemy compositions.
Before you can call upon the powers of a Divine Beast, you must first fill up the Divine Beast Gauge. This can be found on the bottom right of the HUD, above your Wizardry Spells and to the right of your Martial Arts.
The gauge is presented as a dark silhouette of the Beast's icon when empty, and slowly fills with a dull coloration as you deal and take damage in combat. Once the gauge is filled, it flashes with vibrant colors, signifying that the Divine Beast can now be summoned.
Divine Beasts Summoning & Resonation
The powers of a Divine Beast can be called upon in one of two ways per charged gauge.
Divine Beast Summoning
Summoning is performed by pressing △ + Ο (Playstation) / Y + B (Xbox). This unleashes the Divine Beast's Skill, which has varying effects, such as bombarding the battlefield with destructive magic or healing over a very wide area. Each Skill is unique to a specific Beast and has the properties of their respective element. Some skills have instant effects, while others are observed over a duration. All Divine Beast Summoning Skills are upgraded when performing while having Morale Rank at 10 or higher.
Divine Beast Resonation
Resonation is performed by pressing ▢ + ⨉ (Playstation) / X + A (Xbox). This consumes the Divine Beast Gauge and imbues the caster's weapon with the Beast's respective element. Resonation also applies to allies within a wide radius from the caster and also empowers all affected players with varying effects depending on the Beast.
Divine Beast's Favor
Aside from unleashing a Divine Beast's powers through Summoning and Resonation, each Beast also has a set of Divine Beast's Favors which grant passive bonuses to a player as long as the beast is equipped. These bonuses range from increased Spirit Attack damage, improved buff durations to reduced Spirit Consumption for Wizardry Spells and these effects do not require charging of the Divine Beast Gauge.
All Divine Beasts provide 3 different passives as soon as they are acquired, but can be upgraded to 4 by completing a certain mission unique to each Divine Beast.

Why did the divine beasts in demo 1 have normal nioh numbers like 20-30% for their effects and in the actual game they are sub 5%?
