Mission Start Text

Mt. Tianzhushan, Lujiang Commandery, Yang Province
The central peak among the sacred mointains here is often likened to a pillar supporting the heavens.

The name Mt. Tianzhushan became attached to Mt. Wanshan due to the striking shape of its rock face. It was also proclaimed to be the southernmost of the five Sacred Mountains of China by Emperor Wu in a ceremony held during his southern tour in 106 BC. The mountain is notable for its numerous unusual rock formations, valley, and caves, as well as the aloofness of its cloud-covered peak. These days it has become a haven for those who seek seclusion from society and a place to train.

You'll find a Chang Gui watching an item in the river very closely. Not far behind it is a Huo Shu. After both enemies have been defeated, follow the road you found the Huo Shu on, and you'll be able to find two Rank 3 Steel. Jump into the water and fight all five Shuigui here.

in search of the immortal wizard walkthrough 7 main mission wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide 600px

From the broken bridge, circle around the southern most tall stone structure until you can climb up top. From here, jump to the other tall stone structure to loot two Rank 3 Steel. On the small piece of land in the southeastern part of the pond are two pieces of Rank 3 Leather. Still in the pond, if you look up on the cliffs on the southern side you'll find an item you can pick up. Simply jump up the cliff face to grab it.

With all the items in the area looted, head southeast and up the hill to reach the fourth Battle Flag providing 2 Fortitude. Up the next flight of stairs is a Shitieshou you can offer some metals to. Continue up the stairs and before you reach the cave ahead, you'll find some yellowed bamboo to your left leading to the fourth Marking Flag, giving you an additional 1 Fortitude.

The Fifth Battle Flag & Marking Flag

Double back to the split, then head up towards the cave. On the way, you'll find a Genuine Qi Fragment on the left. At the cave entrance are some demonic vines. Look to your left when you enter to find a Rank 3 Steel. Continue forward, passing by a small campfire until you reach the top of the slope and Hong Jing makes an exclamation.

To your left is a vine you can climb up to grab a Golden Cicada Shell. Climb up the next vine and jump down onto the ledge with an item to pick up two Rank 3 Steel. Head forward and climb up the ledge. This small room contains Hong Jing's childhood training supplies. You'll find a chest with a Genuine Qi Clot and the Despairing Taoist's Note on the ground. Head forward and climb up the vine. Jump across to the nearest two vines to reach a Dragon Vein Essence.

Jump down into the open cavern. There are two items to pick up here - one Five Minerals Powder and two Rank 3 Leather. Be careful, however, as picking one of the items up spawns a Zhupolong. Defeat it, then activate the fifth Battle Flag, providing 3 Fortitude. To the west, you'll find a stack of boxes with an item behind it.

Climb up the vine, and jump to the next vine to reach the fifth Marking Flag, providing 1 Fortitude.

This key is given to the Hermit of Tianzhu in the Hidden Village. Continue forward, and when you reach the ledge, prepare and buff yourself because you'll be challenging a boss next.

The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass Walkthrough

Starting Fort

You will begin this game in front of your first Battle Flag which you can use before proceeding through this first fort. There will be five more Battle Flag locations in this Battlefield. You can start making your way around the fort, and slowly clearing the enemies in the area. The tents in the area can be checked and looted for any equipment, ammunition, and spare Arrows.

start mission 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

If you check the wooden platforms, you may find a large Ballista loaded with limited Arrows to use against nearby opponents. You will find a few enemies straight ahead towards the fort entrance and a few pacing guards directly in front.

ballista wooden fort mission 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

Shooting at one will immediately cause a reaction and they will start to run at you. Clear the surrounding enemies. When you are cleared, you can return to the ballista if you haven't used up all the ammunition. Look out for any soldiers at the watch towers or taller platforms and clear them. They will likely be ranged enemies.

Wooden Fort - First Marking Flag

One Marking Flag can be located towards the side of the fort with the open entrance. There will be a tent at the corner that you can enter. Enter the tent and this is where you will find the location to raise the Marking Flag.

tent flag mission 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

Directly across on the other side of the fort is another open tent you can enter which will have a chest you can loot. Clear the fort of any more enemy opponents. Once you have cleared the fort area, that means you would have also faced Xu Rong and defeated him. Make sure to check all tents and watch towers for any leftover loot. Then leave the fort and pursue your objective marker location.

Mountains - Second Marking Flag

You will have a few paths main paths you can take, but may encounter a few warriors along the way. Be sure to look up for any signs of warriors on higher ground. Climb atop the higher hills and cliffs to gain a vantage point and view anymore lingering opponents in the area. This will also give you a chance to shoot any unsuspecting opponents and do a great deal of damage before engaging in close-ranged combat. You may be able to spot a Flag Location on a platform with a chest just below.

mountain marking flag mission 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

To reach this platform, there is a route behind that you can take which will take you through the mountains. From the image shown above, hop off the cliff and head left until you find an opening leading behind the hill. This will allow you to reach the Marking Flag Location. The route you take to reach this platform can also be taken to continue to approach the next fort where your next marker is.

Second Fort & Battle Flag

To exit the trenches, look for a platform to climb. There will be a raised cliff edge that will line the edge of the trenches protected by a Chang Gui demon. A broken platform can be used to reach this edge that will have a Marking Flag Location.

Destroy the crates found on the same cliff platform to gain a chance at obtaining more loot. Another Marking Flag can be accessed from the trenches. Look out for a flat cliff area that can be hopped up on. This leads to a short hidden path that only has a Marking Flag at the very end.

This part of the trench is close to a set of open gates with a spiked fence and a siege tower. This will have a broken-off bridge with a loot drop at the end of it. Drop off this broken bridge point to find the hidden path. The broken-off bridge with the loot pick up is circled and highlighted in the image below.

Finish up the area and the trenches before approaching the garrison gate.

Garisson Gate Entrance

As you approach you will encounter Hua Xiong. If you get close enough, you will initiate the Boss encounter against Hua Xiong and the Hua Xiong Military Elite will initiate an invasion. You can circle around to this area later on since your final objective will be through the garrison gates. Clearing this boss battle will also give you access to the Battle Flag in front of the Garrison Gates, which we will deem the last battle flag, Battle Flag six. You can clear this boss encounter first or decide to finish off the surrounding area including the surrounding yard and fort towers before you return to face Hua Xiong and raise the final Battle Flag on this Battlefield. If you wish to face him now, his boss encounter details can be found below.

Siege Towers - Marking Flag 6 & 7

First, try to reach the mechanisms first atop the siege towers in front of the gate and slowly make your way on top of the fort walls and towers while clearing any enemies and demons you encounter. There will be ballista weapons on a few raised platforms that will also give you a good view of the enemy in the area. You may even be able to spot the next Battle Flag on the second level of the fort towers, Battle Flag 4.

fort tower battle flag 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

You can reach this location later on, once we start climbing the siege towers. You can also then take an initial shot with the ballista once you've gained access to them in order to deal a lot of initial damage before engaging in close-range combat. When you are ready, approach the siege towers and climb them. Rotate the mechanisms on top of the surrounding siege towers to create a better platform for you to advance onto the fort walls. Just below on a nearby lower platform will be a Marking Flag location.

A few more intractable siege towers can be found in the same area. Another Marking Flag location will be near a ballista on a raised wooden structure which can be hopped onto from a taller siege tower. This siege tower will be situated closer to the fort wall than the first one.

wooden platform marker flag ballista 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

Be careful of the number of Demonized Soldier, Demonized Fanatic, Demonized Officer, and Demonized Warlock enemies all surrounding the area of the garrison gate. Use the newly activated platforms to navigate your way to the fort walls while on top of the towers. You can also use the ladders that lean against the tower to make your way up the first Rampart. You may encounter an Oil of Awakening x1 at the edge of a part of the fort wall that is crumbling and broken off and crumbling. This is met with a siege tower already attached to it that can be used to hop up on the wall. If you drop down directly off the right of the siege tower, you should also be able to obtain Rank 5 Leather x2. The fort wall rampart area will be lined with plenty more enemy soldiers and Demonized Soldier enemies. Below is an image of where the Oil of Awakening was obtained.

Fortress Towers - Battle Flag 4 & 5

Once you get on top of the walls and fight off the opponents in this area. You can open the doors and one will contain a Shitieshou Demon and a ladder leading up.

shitieshou mission 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

When you use the ladder, there will be a chest there with some loot and a Cup of Cordiality. On the same level just next to the chest will be the fourth Battle Flag location. Make your way around the fort walls to access the rest of the towers, open the tower doors you find and you will find one with two chests and a few more hostile soldiers guarding them. Once you clear them and continue, you will eventually reach a small courtyard area on top of the walls. This will have your fifth Battle Flag Location and the last one to raise before heading back to the garrison gate entrance for the final Battle Flag if you haven't raised it previously.

Hua Xiong Boss Battle

hua xiong boss 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

By this point, you would have cleared the surrounding area, including the siege towers, the fort walls, and fort towers. Approach the Garrison Gates and face Hua Xiong. There is a chance that his elite would have already invaded prior to the boss battle, if not, you would have to face them both. During this battle, use the fire in the combat area to your advantage to potentially deal damage over time. Be ready for his charge attack where he uses his polearm and charges forward. Dodge out of the way to avoid damage intake. He also has a jump slash attack where you will need to back away. In between these attack, you may charge at him with a series of melee attacks. Some of his basic attacks include a combination of melee swipes and slashes. Find a window of opportunity in between attacks and try to go aggressive during these openings, he will then attempt to switch to a defensive play and start to dodge roll backward allowing you to advance towards him or even lead him into a nearby flame. Slowly repeat the process until his HP bar depletes and he is defeated. You are now cleared to raise the final Battle Flag in this location and go through the garrison gates. Loot the area then open both sets of garrison gates to trigger the next cutscene.

Lu Bu Boss Battle

lu bu boss 13 the battle of hulaoguan pass wolong fextralife wiki guide min

When the cutscene concludes, your final boss battle against Lu BuLu Bu begins the fight while mounted on his steed. However, after a few successful hits, he will continue the fight on foot. If he is separated from his hare, steer clear of the path of his horse while in battle.

While mounted,  Lu Bu has a number of ranged attacks, melee attacks, and charge attacks. His arrows can be shot and will quickly fan out or spray outwards and then reel back into the center. His ranged attacks are usually avoided by either keeping a great distance or remaining close to Lu Bu. This will allow the arrows to fly directly over you, avoiding damage. When it comes to his special attacks, he has a special ability that can ignite his weapon and arrows that will additionally deal Burn damage when he deals all his regular attacks. This is where the Cleanse Spell can be used to alleviate any inflicted Burn effects. If you have any difficulties with this fight, it is recommended to call in some Reinforcements to slow down his attack reactions and give you time to gain a better position to attack.

He moves very quickly so it is sometimes easier to catch him right before an attack to deal a hit. He can quickly advance and jump very high. When he is close enough, his attack animations will have a drawback to prepare you to react to his attack incoming attack. The best way to face him would be to be patient in between his attack sequences while circling around to try to steer clear of his line of sight. This will also give you a chance to find an attack opening if his back is turned toward you.

Continue to find attack windows to slowly exhaust his HP until he is defeated. His defeat will immediately trigger the next cutscene and complete the mission.

Be wary of the scorched flames he leaves on the ground as you will take damage if you step on them. He leaves trails and shoots out flames that drop on the ground while soars the sky, even when he's about to charge toward you. Once you deal enough damage, it will break his guard, giving you the opportunity to deal massive damage. Watch out for his grab where he impales you with his scythe then throws you down the ground. The prompt is when he spins mid-air and performs a single loop. Try to anticipate when he will attack and act accordingly, don't be too greedy and wait for the opportunity to attack.

The path to the base is on the right of the hill in the image above. Before going around the hill, climb it through the ledges on your left side and pick up the Talismanic Water on the way up. At the top of the hill is a Demonized Warlock you can sneak up on and take out as he will disrupt you in the battle ahead otherwise.

There is also a bridge up here that you can follow back to the tree branch near the watchtower from earlier for some random loot. Note that the bridge will break in the middle so jump over it as you approach. Also on the other side of the bridge, to its right, you can make your way onto a series of wooden platforms, leading to a hill on the left side of the base's gates.

You can find a chest here with some random equipment and you can also get the jump on the opponents guarding the Second Battle Flag in front of the gates below, which includes a Chang Gui tiger demon, a Demonized Officer and a few Demonized Soldiers.

After defeating all opponents, raise the flag to gain +3 Fortitude and then check the right side of the gates for a Large Genuine Qi Clot. Unfortunately, gates are closed shut by corrupted vines so head to the right towards an enemy encampment.

Enemy Encampment, First Marking Flag

Behind the first tent you see is a human assassin waiting to ambush you. Turn right from this tent to find a clearing with another tent and two human officers.

Defeat the officers and open the chest in the back for a piece of Rank 9 Leather and a piece of Rank 9 Steel. Jump up the tent on the left and use it to get up on the hill above it. Up here, you will find another bridge and watchtower.

To the left of the bridge, you can collect Poison Throwing Knife x 2. Kill the archer perched on the watchtower from range and cross the bridge, collecting the Oil of Awakening on it, and being careful not to step in the middle. Across the bridge is another archer watching the area below. To his right is a piece of Heatproof Ice. Turn to the right on this hill to find the First Marking Flag with an officer sitting nearby.

Defeat the officer and raise the flag for +1 Fortitude. Return to the bridge area and look down to see a soldier by the watchtower's corner and a Chang Gui patrolling the area. Defeat or skip both opponents and then continue on towards through the area on the right where you will find a makeshift bridge to the left and a small wooden platform by the edge of the mountain on the right. You can drop down the edge to find a piece of Rank 9 Steel

Go ahead and cross makeshift bridge and keep following the path ahead. You can check the cave on the way for a random piece of equipment. At the end of the path, drop down to the foggy mountain pass below and pick up the Large Genuine Qi Clot and Mystic Crane on the way.

Foggy Mountain Pass

Follow the mountain pass and you will find an enemy encampment on the right with another watchtower. Clear all the enemies and pick up the Rank 9 Leather in the area behind the right tent and then climb the watchtower for a Fire Pot.

Now head to the left area to find a large tree with a wooden platform on the left you can climb up. There is an assassin perched on the tree and a Chang Gui tiger patrolling around the tree.

Wait for the tiger to move away and then climb up the platform to the tree and take the assassin out. Afterwards, wait for the tiger to come around again, then perform a jumping Fatal Strike and finish him off. To the left of the tree, you can find Poison Throwing Knife x2.

Opening the Gates

Past the tree is the inner base camp behind the Baima checkpoint gate from earlier. Take the stairs on the left and defeat the Demonized Warlock up on the platform and then pick up the Five Minerals Powder up there. Follow this path to reach a tunnel leading to the other side of the Baima gate, guarded by a Demonized Officer.

As you approach the gates, another Demonized Officer will spawn behind you. Defeat him and activate the winch by the wall to open the gates, unlocking a shortcut.

Behind Baima Checkpoint - Dragon Vein Essence

Head back to the base camp and climb the watchtower in front of the stairs to the hill next to it. Up there, defeat the soldier and then turn right and drop down the ledge to find two wooden platforms with an archer on top of one of them. To the right of the platform in the back is a Dragon Vein Essence.

Baima Gatehouse Building - Second Marking Flag

Return to the watch tower and go in the other direction to find another wooden bridge, guarded by a Demonized Warlock on the other side. Across the bridge, turn left and kick down the rolled-up bundle of wood for a shortcut up here from the gate's tunnel below.

Climb up the ledge to find yourself on top of the Baima gate, with the gatehouse building. It has two doors in the front and in the back, both of which are locked from the inside. Go around the building and look for a wooden platform off the ledge to find a piece of Rank 9 Leather.

Go back around to where you climbed up and go to the left side to find Cao Cao Soldier's Note by the guard rails. It notes that Yuan Shao's army attacked from the north with a large number of demons in their ranks. Turn the corner here to find some scaffolding that you can climb to the roof of the building where you can drop in through a hole.

Drop onto one of the platforms inside the building and defeat the Demonized Warlock. A Shitieshou Demon can be found on these platforms. After interacting with it, drop down below and open the chest for a random piece of gear. The Second Marking Flag can also be found here. Raise it to gain +1 Fortitude. Open both doors to the gatehouse and then make your way back to the last bridge you crossed to get here.

Back to the Enemy Base

Go to the right side of the bridge where you will find another watchtower. At the top is a chest guarded by a Demonized Fanatic. The chest contains random gear. From here, drop back down and continue to the right where you will encounter a Suan Yu demon crane, along with several Demonized Fanatics and Demonized Soldiers and a roaming Demonized Officer. Clear all the enemies and climb the watchtower on the right. At the top is a Demonized Warlock. Kill him and turn around to find a broken tree connecting to the watchtower where you will find another Demonized Fanatic and a Golden Cicada Shell.

From the broken tree, jump down and perform a Fatal Strike on the sleeping Chang Gui tiger demon and finish him off as well as the Demonized Officer in the back. Check the base of the broken tree for a Bear Gall. Opposite the broken tree, there is a scaffolding you can climb up to reach a ledge where a Dragon's Cure Powder can be found. You can also find the Brewer's Husband (Hermit of Tianzhu) here. Exhausting his dialogue will give you the prompt to give him a Sacred Lotus. Give it to him if you have it in order to progress the mini-quest for him and his wife, the Expert Brewer, in the Hidden Village.

Go back down and follow the path where the officer was and turn left around the hill to find a set of scaffolding leading up to the Third Marking Flag.

Raise it to gain +1 Fortitude and lower the ladder next to it for a shortcut up here.

Yuan Shao Army Fortress Entrance - Third Battle Flag

Go back down the way you came and head in the opposite direction of the scaffolding. Keep to the path and you will eventually wind up in a large open area with a fortress in the back, lots of corruption and the Third Battle Flag, guarded by a Corpse Demon, several Demonized Fanatics and a Demonized Warlock perched on top of a platform on the right.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 22 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

As you enter this area, look to the left for a chest by a tent which contains Rank 9 Steel x1 and a piece of random equipment. Clear out all the enemies and raise the battle flag to gain +3 Fortitude. Climb up the platform the warlock was on to obtain Yan Liang's Note which talks about a disgruntled Yan Liang who is planning to take the Elixir's power for himself and turn the area into a sea of corpses. When ready, enter the gates to the fortress to initiate a cutscene and a mid-boss fight against the demonized Yan Liang and his brother Wen Chou.

Mid-Boss: Yan Liang and Wen Chou

yan liang wen chou boss wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

This is a duo boss fight against the brothers Yan Liang, who is the slender demon wielding a blade and walks on all fours, and Wen Chou, the larger of the two, wielding a warhammer. Each boss has his own health bar and the most important note for this battle is that you must deplete their health bars at the same time. After killing one brother, you must defeat the other within about 10 seconds or else he will resurrect the dead one with 50% HP.

Yan Liang will often perform his basic 3-hit combo of heavy, wide swing to the left, and then to the right followed by an overhead slash. While this attack is slow, it can be tricky to dodge so watch your timing. However, once he initiates the combo, he will continue it to the end so you can take advantage of this by keeping to his backside and attacking when you have an opening. He is also very vulnerable after the last hit. He will sometimes hold both ends of his sword and smash it on the ground in front of him. This attack does not have much range but hits in a wide area, so dodge backwards.

Yan Liang will sometimes leap backwards, holding his sword in his mouth and then slash forcibly, with his blade extending by a hidden chain in the pommel. This attack has an incredibly large arc and long forward range so you will need to dodge through the swing. If successful, you can attack him during the recovery. Periodically, he will leap high into the air and toss his chain blade at you and then follow up with a dive bomb. You can deflect and counter the dive bomb for huge Spirit damage.

Wen Chou performs very basic swings and smashes with his hammer which can still prove deadly with the amount of heft behind his strikes. He will typically perform two horizontal swings from either side to the other. Sometimes, he will follow up with a vertical smash or perform two vertical smashes in a row. He also has a Fatal Strike which starts off with a heavy overhead smash followed by two somersault smashes. If you deflect the first strike, you will stop the rest of the combo and deal huge Spirit damage.

When both brothers are alive, they may perform a duo Fatal Strike which involves Yan Liang jumping to Wen Chou who then spins him around by his chain blade before tossing him towards you. Stay away from the brothers during the spinning portion and then deflect Yan Liang when he flies towards you.

It's best to let Guan Yu handle Wen Chou while you focus down Yan Liang, but try to keep their HP bars at the same level throughout the fight and remember to defeat both within seconds of each other to prevent them from resurrecting each other.

Once both brothers are dispatched, a cutscene will play which shows you traveling towards the Yanjin Fort with Guan Yu where you join forces with Zhang Fei for the second half of the mission.

Outside Yanjin Fort

After the cutscenes, you will be outside of Yanjin Fort with both Guan Yu and Zhang Fei as your reinforcements. The Fourth Battle Flag will be to your left. Raise it to gain +2 Fortitude. Also to the left is Cao Cao's horse which you can ride to return to Baima Checkpoint if needed.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 23 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Enter the area ahead and jump up onto the hut on your right. Use it to get to the second hut just ahead which has a hole on the roof from which you can get the drop on the Huo Shu hedgehog demon below. Collect the Rank 9 Leather on the ground inside and the Elixir behind the hut outside.

Make your way through the village, fighting off the demonized enemies, including and checking the huts for loot. At the end of the path, you will come across the entrance to an old imperial tomb.

Old Imperial Tomb

In the first hall, check the right statue for a piece of random equipment and by the left brazier for a Rank 9 Steel. Note the glob of corruption hanging above which will drop and spawn a Demonized Fanatic as you pass by. Continue to the back of the hall and one of the Terracotta Soldier statues will come to life and attack you. There is also an Anti-static Needle on the ground in front of it. After defeating it, climb the ledge just ahead to find a chest with a random piece of equipment and another Rank 9 Steel.

Fifth Battle Flag

The next hall is lined with sarcophagi on both sides. Some of them have Demonized Fanatics laying in them. There is also a Demonized Officer in the back of the room. There is also a Demonized Warlock on the top platforms who you can reach by going through a tunnel in the right side of the room and following it up and to the left. After defeating the officer, the Fifth Battle Flag's post will spawn to the left of the stairs. Raise it to gain +3 Fortitude

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 26 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Check the room for loot including a Small Genuine Qi Crystal on the left and an Elixir on the right. Open the door at the top of the stairs and defeat the Terracotta Soldiers that come to life in the next hallway.

Central Tomb Chamber - Fourth Marking Flag

Through the next set of doors is the tomb's central chamber where a Demonized Officer and a few fanatics are waiting. After defeating them, take the path on the right with the glowing red corruption. This leads to a tunnel where you can find a Tomb Robber's Letter which talks about an overzealous grave robber looking for ancient treasure hidden away in this tomb, who drank the Elixir.

Return to the chamber and take the path opposite the tunnel with the red glow. Halfway through this path is a hole in the wall on the right which leads up to a ledge. Follow the ledge to find the Fourth Marking Flag above the central chamber. Raise it to gain +1 Fortitude.

Return to the path and follow it to the next chamber where two Bronze Soldiers are guarding a door.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 28 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Before engaging them, check the left corner of the room for a box you can jump onto to get up to a ledge above. There is a hole in the floor here with a ladder. Before taking it down, go through the path on the left where a giant Huo Shu hedgehog will ambush you. Defeat it and continue down that path where a glob of corruption is. Defeat the enemy that spawns and then check behind it for another Golden Cicada Shell.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 29 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

From here, turn and collect the Dragon's Cure Powder at the end on the right and the Large Genuine Qi Crystal on the ledge to the left. Return to the hole with the ladder and drop down to the platform below which above the chamber with the Fifth Battle Flag. Drop the other ladder here for a shortcut and jump onto the platform ahead for a chest with random equipment.

Make your way back to the chamber with the two Bronze Soldiers, defeat them and check to the right of the doors for a chest. Open the doors and head inside.

Corrupted Chamber - Dragon Vein Essence, Sixth Battle Flag

This next chamber is full of corruption, with a Leishi demon guarding the very back.

Defeat the Leishi and then check the large sarcophagus it was guarding for a Dragon Vein Crystal. Check the left side of the room for a wooden platform on attached to the wall. You can reach it by climbing the broken pillar in front of it.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 31 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Destroy the wall behind the platform for a hidden tunnel. At the end of this tunnel is a glob of corruption with some loot behind it. Halfway through the tunnel is another path on the right. Follow it all the way to the end to find a small room where a Huo Shu hedgehog will ambush you from the left. Check the left side for a chest and drop into the hole on the right to get to a locked room where the Sixth Battle Flag can be found.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 32 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Raise the flag to gain +2 Fortitude and then unlock the door here which leads to the left of the large sarcophagus in the corrupted chamber. Take the path to the right of the sarcophagus to exit the tomb.

Yanjin Fort Barracks

You exit the tomb to the Yanjin Fort Barracks.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 33 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Make your way through to the large building on the right while defeating the enemies along the way. Check the towers for loot, one of which contains a Rank 9 Steel. The entrance to the large building is guarded by an officer and a Corpse Demon and the Seventh Battle Flag can be found right next to the stairs to the building. Raise the flag to gain +3 Fortitude. If you've collected all other flags in the mission, this should bring your total to 20 Fortitude.

behold the glaive of righteousness walkthrough image 34 wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Before heading through the large gates, check all the way to the left and behind the stables for another Rank 9 Leather. Make your preparations and then open the gates to start a cutscene and the mission's final Boss Fight.

Boss: Liu Bei (Demon Form)

liu bei demon form boss wo long fallen dynasty wiki guide

Liu Bei is forcibly turned into a demon by Yuan Shao and takes on the form of a bipedal Human/Dragon hybrid, essentially merging with Qinglong, whom he has a bond with. He fights with his dual swords and lightning magic.

When the fight starts, he will float high up into the air and release two lightning orbs on the ground. After a brief delay, each orb will release two rings of electricity in a staggered fashion which travel outwards from each orb, along the entire arena. You will need to time your jump carefully to avoid the rings.

His standard combo involves rushing in with double slash horizontal slashes followed by a single vertical slash, and then a final spinning slash. Each of these can be blocked but if you deflect with proper timing, you can stagger Liu Bei and stop the combo. His other prominent attack is his propeller slash move. Liu Bei assumes a low stance with both swords held to his left side before leaping upwards and rotating like a propeller with his blades, he stays in the air for a split second before rotating one more time as he descends. You can dodge under him as he leaps to avoid the attack and then strike him from behind as he descends.

Periodically, he will slowly float straight upwards while glowing red. After a brief delay, he will release electricity in a large radius around him. Run away when you see him float like this. When he holds both swords to his right side, he is about to perform a rising uppercut followed by a diving slash towards one of you. The diving slash can be deflected for a good amount of Spirit damage.

When he begins flying erratically around the arena, he is about to perform a fatal strike in which he slashes several times while in the air, sending red wave projectiles towards you. Each one of these can be deflected and sent back to him for a huge amount of Spirit Damage. This is definitely the move you want to look out for as sending even one projectile back at him may be enough to stun him and allow you to perform a fatal strike.

With Guan Yu and Zhang Fei by your side, Liu Bei is relatively easy to overpower as his max Spirit is constantly being reduced by the frequent attacks from the three of you. Additionally, despite having Wood Phase affinity, Liu Bei is not immune to the effects of lightning and you can still apply the Shock status on him which will further reduce his Spirit Gauge. This fight encourages being aggressive, frequently stunning the boss and deflecting the proper attacks in order to achieve victory.

After defeating Liu Bei, a cutscene will play and you will gain the protection of Qinglong, the Divine Beast due to your strengthened bonds, unlocking its fourth Divine Beast's Favor as the mission ends. Completing the mission will also award the following:
