Mission Start Text

An important message from one of the spies stationed among Yuan Shao's ranks has arrived. It states that the bulk of Yuan Shao's army reserves lie in Wuchao. Determined not to let this chance slip by, Cao Cao has roused his men for a dangerous assault on the storehouse.

Yuan Shao's desperate struggle for power must be deterred. Join Cao Cao's assault force, but beware; word has it that military supplies are not the only thing cached in Wuchao...

The Assault on Wuchao Shitieshou Locations

There is 1 Shitieshou Demon to be found in The Assault on Wuchao:

• When entering the hallway guarded by the Leishi, turn around to find the Shitieshou on the right.

The Assault on Wuchao Dragon's Cure Pot Upgrades Locations

There is 1 Dragon Vein Essence to be found in The Assault on Wuchao:

• In the third tomb chamber with the Second Battle Flag enter the tunnel with the red glow to find a chest on the right containing a Dragon Vein Essence.

The Assault on Wuchao Golden Cicada Shell Locations

• There are no Golden Cicada Shells in this mission.

The Assault on Wuchao Battle Flag Locations

There is 3 Battle Flag to be found in The Assault on Wuchao:

1. First Battle Flag: Available from the beginning, at the entrance to the tomb. Does not provide any additional Fortitude.
2. Second Battle Flag: Found in the third tomb chamber. (+2 Fortitude)
3. Third Battle Flag: Found just before the tomb's exit to Yuan Shao's supply camp. (+2 Fortitude)

The Assault on Wuchao Marking Flag Locations

There is 1 Marking Flag to be found in The Assault on Wuchao:

• This mission's only Marking Flag can be found by jumping up on a box on the right side of the second tomb chamber to reach a ledge leading to a balcony with Demonized Spiders and a Demonized Warlock. The flag can be found in the corner next to the warlock. (+1 Fortitude)

 

The Assault on Wuchao Walkthrough

First Tomb Chamber

You begin the mission in a tunnel to a tomb which leads to Yuan Shao's supply camps in Wuchao, with Cao Cao as your Reinforcement. Just a few steps ahead is the First Battle Flag of the mission. Your Fortitude is set to 15 at the start of this mission.

The first room you enter is a large chamber with a large sarcophagus just in front of the entrance and several pillars with corruption wrapping around them. There are several human soldiers in this chamber, and the walls and pillars are lined with Terracotta Soldiers, some of which will come alive as you pass by. Watch your step and look for their health/spirit gauge so you can tell which ones will come alive from a distance. Clear the entire room and then check the left wall for a Large Genuine Qi Clot. Check next to the sarcophagus for a random piece of equipment, and then the left corner from the sarcophagus for a Fire Pot. On the right side of the room is a wooden platform. Climb the pillar in front of it and then jump onto the platform to pick up a Small Genuine Qi Crystal.

 

Head through the doorway in the back towards the next room.

Second Tomb Chamber

In the next chamber is another group of enemies comprised of several soldiers, a large brute-type and a wolf on the left. Clear the enemies and check the ground near the wolf for an Elixir. Check the right corner of the room for a box you can jump on top of to get to a ledge above. This leads to a hallway with some Demon Spiders and a Demonized Warlock by a ledge at the end. In the left corner next to the warlock is the mission's only Marking Flag. Raise it to gain +1 Fortitude.

 

The ledge is overlooking another hallway below where a Leishi is patrolling. Wait for it to get closer and then perform a jumping fatal strike to get a good amount of damage in. Be careful fighting this monster in this cramped space. There is a door at the end of this hallway but do not enter it yet. Instead, turn around to do some backtracking. You will see a Shitieshou Demon on the corner to your right.

 

Third Tomb Chamber - Second Battle Flag

Go through the doorway behind the Shitieshou to find the third tomb chamber with the Second Battle Flag in the corner on the right.

From here, the path splits three ways. Take the dark and narrow hallway on the left which is patrolled by a Demonized Officer. This hallway leads back to the second chamber but halfway through it is a hole in the wall on the right which leads to a ledge with a Demonized Warlock. Follow this ledge back to an elevated section of the third chamber and pick up the Genuine Qi Crystal before dropping back down.

 

The path straight ahead (when the Battle Flag is to your right) and the path on the right with the red glow both lead to the same tunnel full of spiders and a chest containing a Dragon Vein Essence.

Right above the Battle Flag, you can climb up a ledge to a tunnel where you can find an Elixir past one small and one large Huo Shu demons.

After collecting everything, go ahead and return to the hallway patrolled by the Leishi and open the door to the fourth chamber.

Fourth Tomb Chamber

This chamber is patrolled by a giant Bronze Soldier, with several Demonized Fanatics laying in the sarcophagi on either side of the room. Clear the room and then check the right side of the stairs for a Large Genuine Qi Crystal. Check the left side of the room for some randomized equipment, and the right side for a Fire Pot.

Continue on through the doorway in the back to reach the tomb's exit hall. Just as you enter, look to the right for a Demonized Warlock up on a ledge. Climb the ledge to pick up a Jewel Fragment in the corner. Follow the hallway to find the Third Battle Flag just before the tomb's exit.

Yuan Shao's Supply Camp

The tomb exits to Yuan Shao's Supply Camp which has been set alight by Cao Cao's army. This final area is a straightforward fight against two Corpse Demons. You can fight them separately by luring one demon at a time if you have trouble taking on both at once.

After defeating the Corpse Demons, the mission will end. Mission completion awards the following:

• Fire Pot x5
• Rank 8 Leather x3
• Bronze Halberd x1
• Heishan Bandit Footwear x1
