Realm of Battle Walkthrough

Before the Battle

You begin the mission in front of a long staircase leading up to a fortress. Before heading up, check the right side of the stairs to find a Large Genuine Qi Clot. Climb the stairs to find the mission's only Battle Flag and make your preparations.

This is a battle arena-style mission that pits you against several NPC warrior generals simultaneously.

You will be facing the following opponents:

  • Dong Min who wields a poleaxe
  • Huang Zu who wields a glaive and will periodically attack from range with a bow
  • Niu Fu who switches between a poleaxe and a spear

For this battle, it is highly recommended that you equip some forms of crowd control such as the Divine Beast Qilin who can disrupt opponents with its summon ability. Alternatively, Qinglong can provide you with the advantage of healing-over-time, as while all three opponents are up, you will be hardpressed looking for an opening to heal.

Once ready, enter the door to begin the battle.

The Battle

As soon as you enter the fortress, the three opponents will rush you immediately. The area is very spacious so take advantage of this and sprint away when you need some breathing room.

For the most part, this success in this battle will hinge on your ability to control Dong Min, who appears to only have 1-3 moves he uses which consists of a 360 degree swing with his poleaxe, a slam and a double-swing martial art. He will repeatedly use these moves one after the other, in any order. Despite his slower attack speed, he is incredibly disruptive due to the wide arcs of his swing and the heft behind his attacks. If possible, focus on him first.

Niu Fu is just slightly more complex than Dong Min and not as aggressive. He also wields a poleaxe and will use the same moves as Dong Min so try not to get sandwiched between the two. However, he also wields a spear and will at times switch to it for longer range poking attacks, but he also tends to pause more between strikes.

Huang Zu has more moves in his arsenal and will periodically pelt you with arrows from a distance so watch out and try not to get disrupted. Huang Zu has access to a moderate ranged lunge with his glaive and if it connects, he will tend to follow up with a martial art which can take a large chunk out of your health or spirit gauges.

Play as evasively as possible and look for opportunities to parry and counter attack each opponent's Fatal Strikes to severely affect their spirit gauges, particularly the slower Dong Min and Niu Fu, as their wide swings are the least tricky to parry.

Once all opponents are defeated, claim their drops and then raise the Battle Flag in the back to complete the mission. First completion awards the following items:

Either the description is wrong or an invasion can alter this mission. I faced a single online invader instead of any of the listed enemies and was granted victory when he was defeated.
