The Valorous Trio

The Valorous Trio is a Sub Mission in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This mission is recommended for level 35. The Valorous Trio tasks players with aiding Liu Bei in his encounter with some demon enemies. Your objective is to Eliminate the demons. Please see Missions for other walkthroughs on other missions. Sub Missions are secondary quests that are not mandatory on completing the game, but can yield important rewards as well as expand the lore and story of the game and its characters.

Mission Start Text

A letter has arrived from a friend, Liu Bei. He says that he was appointed county commandant after his success fighting the Yellow Turbans, but has come head-to-head with a new enemy: demons. While the encounter with Liu Bei was buried, it was a time of share sorrows and joys, and it would not be right to ignore his plea for help.

The Valorous Trio Battle Flag Locations

There are 3 Battle Flags in this Mission.

First Battle Flag: Will be readily while raised. Can be found at the starting location of the mission.
Second Battle Flag: This Battle Flag location can be found close to the starting point. It will be immediately to the left side of the cave. (Fortitude +3)
Third Battle Flag: This Battle Flag location is located on the small plateau just through the waterfall exit. (Fortitude +3)

Second Battle Flag Location

As you enter this location, you will join forces with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Each of your Fortitudes will be set to 12. Liu Bei, the quest giver will also be there at the start of the mission. Speak to him to begin. He will quickly brief you. You can then rest at the first Battle Flag that will be at this starting location. When you are ready, proceed forward to spawn your demon opponents. You will shortly enouncounter the location where you can raise your second Battle Flag. It will be situated left from the starting location.

This is also where the first wave of demons will begin spawning as you approach. A majority of them will be Huo Shu rat-like demons. A few more will spawn in the area tso be prepared to clear them in order to free the way to raise the flag. This should be marked with an exclamation point on the minimap.

Waterfall Battle Flag

Continue towards the Objective location shown in red on the minimap. This should take you through a waterfall area. Once you pass through the waterfall, more demons will be waiting for you on the other side. The Shuigui are water demons that linger around water. They will have a number of swiping attacks that can continue to rotate and cause damage to the area around them while they advance toward one direction. A few other types of demons will appear that will increase in difficulty. Clear the area to clear the way to the small plateau that will have the final Battle Flag location.

This will further increase your Fortitude Rank. There will be no Marking Flags and no further Battle Flags in this Battlefield. Loot the area before you proceed.

Final Area

Continue forward towards the red marker on the map. Once you reach the final area, you will face the last wave of demons. You will be met with more Huo Shu demons and finally, a Zhu Yan, an ape-like demon, may make an appearance as one of you're final demon encounters. They will continue to spawn periodically until they area all cleared. Clearing this final area will result in a Glorious Victory. The red indicator will lead to Liu Bei. You can speak to him to hear what he has to say before you exit this Battlefield.
