Part I Main Missions

Part II Main Missions

Two Chivalrous Heroes

1. Golden Cicada Shell: Past the Blacksmith NPC, you'll come across some makeshift wooden platforms, you'll find it on the left side as you walk on these platforms. This is where you'll find your first Golden Cicada Shell. It's near the Fourth Marking Flag and a large temple.

The Valley of the Crying Wraiths

1. After capturing the Fourth Battle Flag, climb up the mountain and cross the wooden bridge until you find a hole in it, the item is there.

The Demon Fort of the Yellow Heaven

1. Golden Cicada Shell: Located on a roof in a dilapidated village near the Third Battle Flag (temple). From the temple, climb the wooden scaffolds and follow the path around the village via the rooftop of the houses. You'll eventually reach the path leading to the entrance of a cave covered with red glowing vines.

Part III Main Missions

In Search of the Immortal Wizard

1. Golden Cicada Shell: In the cavern with the fifth Battle Flag, head up the vine here to reach a ledge with the Golden Cicada Shell.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch

1. First Golden Cicada Shell: From the third Battle Flag, head towards the chest by the wall and jump down to the left to get to the lower level. The shell is found in the jail cell here. Guarded by two Huo Shu.
2. Second Golden Cicada Shell: From the fourth Marking Flag, head out the hole in the wall and keep jumping from roof to roof in the courtyard. On the roof at the end is the shell.

Part IV Main Missions

The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass

1. Golden Cicada Shell: Found at a crevice within the trenches surrounding the garisson gate.

Centuries of Glory Burned Away

1. First Golden Cicada Shell: Located at a corner past the first encountered Battle Flag at the crossroads. This is the road opposite of the first Marking Flag and can be found close to the Shitieshou Demon. The Golden Cicada Shell will be hidden behind a wall of flame at the corner before you reach the second Marking flag on the upper level of the house you enter, 
2. Second Golden Cicada Shell: One Golden Cicada Shell can be found in a tunnel with a deadend within the Canals. This particular tunnel is directly below the Marking Flag atop the isolated stone platform in the Canal area.

Darkness Over the Hanshui River

1. Golden Cicada Shell: You can find a Golden Cicada Shell by defeating Shuigui to the right, at the other side of what's left of a ship.

Tyrant's Final Banquet

1. First Golden Cicada Shell: On top of one of the roofed entrances to the second building areas..
2. Second Golden Cicada Shell: Once you defeat Feng Xi, you will find it on top of one of the buildings entangled with roots. It can be seen from a few meters away.

Part V Main Missions

War's Flames Blaze Fiercely

1. First Golden Cicada Shell: Enter through the hole in the wall and continue following the path while sticking to the right side of the wall. You will come across a chest that's being guarded by enemies. Defeat the enemies to open the chest and retrieve the first Golden Cicada Shell.
2. Second Golden Cicada Shell: As you make your way through the tunnel, you will encounter two Terracotta Soldiers along the passageway. Defeat them and go to the end of the path and turn left. You will see a chest guarded by what looks like two Terracotta Soldiers, but the other one is only a statue. Make your way across to the other platform to reach the chest. Defeat the enemy and open the chest to retrieve the second Golden Cicada Shell.

The Way of the Warrior

1. Golden Cicada Shell: Next to a sector guarded by a Zhupolong, at the other side of the swamped water, next to a tree.

Lu Bu, Mightiest Among Men

1. Golden Cicada Shell: Near the end of the mission in the stronghold's inner courtyard area. Go to the left side of the main stronghold building to find the Golden Cicada Shell next to a scaffolding leading to the building's window.

Part VI Main Missions

Behold the Glaive of Righteousness

1. First Golden Cicada Shell: Inside the main Baima checkpoint encampment, look for a watchtower with a broken tree connectedto it. The first Golden Cicada Shell is on the tree.
2. Second Golden Cicada Shell: In the old imperial tomb, inside the chamber with the two Bronze Soldiers guarding a door, check the left side to find a box you can jump on to reach the ledge above. Up on the ledge, turn to the left and defeat the Huo Shu, then walk towards the corrupted glob at the end of the hallway. Check behind it for the second Golden Cicada Shell.

Decisive Battle of Guandu

1. First Golden Cicada Shell: There's an area with many statues, surround it close to the cliff, carefully check the borders until you find it.
2. Second Golden Cicada Shell: After the battle against Yuan Shao, exit the temple, head straight and you'll find the Sixth Battle Flag next to Hong Jing. After raising the battle flag and making further preparation, from the battle flag, walk to the left and drop below to the ground. Here, you'll find a Shitieshou Demon, a chest containing x3 Rank 9 Steel, and a Golden Cicada Shell. You won't miss it since it's next to each other.
