Mission Start Text

"Cao Cao's subordinates, including Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan, assisted their lord in retaking Puyang. Yet Lu Bu took control of Xu Province, leaving only Xiaopei to Liu Bei. Soon after, Lu Bu went on to capture Xiaopei as well.

Having lost all of his territory, Liu Bei is in crisis. You must rescue him as soon as possible."

The Way of the Warrior Shitieshou Locations

There is one Shitieshou Demon that can be found during this mission:

• Shitieshou Demon: Can be found nearby the third Battle Flag, on the left side beside a hut.

The Way of the Warrior Golden Cicada Shell Locations

There is one Golden Cicada Shell that can be found during this mission:

• Golden Cicada Shell: Next to a sector guarded by a Zhupolong, at the other side of the swamped water, next to a tree.

The Way of the Warrior Dragon Vein Crystal Locations

There is one Dragon Vein Crystal that can be found during this mission:

• Dragon Vein Crystal: From the fourth Battle Flag, enter the main building of the mausoleum and at the end is a chest that contains the Dragon Vein Crystal.

The Way of the Warrior Battle Flag Locations

There are 6 Battle Flags to be found in The Way of the Warrior:

• First Battle Flag: Can be found once you spawn at the area just in front of you. It does not provide any additional Fortitude.
• Second Battle Flag: From the interactable tree trunk shortcut, turn around and jump down below, defeat the enemies in the area. You will see a wooden gate illuminated by two flames on both sides, turn left from there go straight ahead, you will see the second Battle Flag guarded by two Demonized Fanatics and a Zhu Yan, you will also see a loot on top of the hut on the left side. (+3 Fortitude)
• Third Battle Flag: Make your back to where you first encountered a Demonized Officer, just across is the third Battle Flag. Cross the bridge and raise the third Battle Flag. (+2 Fortitude)
• Fourth Battle Flag: Go back to the main entrance and defeat the giant Bronze Soldier, just behind it is the fourth Battle Flag. (+3 Fortitude)
• Fifth Battle Flag: From the chest, turn around and exit the castle, on the left is the fifth Battle Flag.(+2 Fortitude)
• Sixth Battle Flag: From the seventh Marking Flag, turn around and go back then turn left, check the other corner of the main temple, you'll find a chest there guarded by a single enemy. Kill the enemy and loot the chest. You can then open the locked door from there and enter the main temple at the center. Upon opening the door, you'll find the sixth Battle Flag just across the room, with two enemies guarding the area. (+3 Fortitude)

The Way of the Warrior Marking Flag Locations

There are 7 Marking Flags to be found in The Way of the Warrior:

• First Marking Flag: Enter the path on the right and you'll encounter the first Marking Flag guarded by a Shuigui. (+1 Fortitude)
• Second Marking Flag: From the recent Genuine Qi Clot you just picked up, jump over the wall on your left and cross the extended branch on your right, you'll locate the second Marking Flag. (+1 Fortitude)
• Third Marking Flag: Upon entering the gate, explore the other stilt hut on the far right corner of the area, there's a loot below the hut, be wary of a Demon Spider in the area. Go up the hut and you'll find x2 Rank 8 Leather. Drop down and on the far right corner on the ground level you'll see the third Marking Flag. (+1 Fortitude)
• Fourth Marking Flag: The third hut on the right is where the fourth Marking Flag is located. You can access it by going down below and jumping over the hole in the middle to get inside. Be wary of multiple enemies below the hut. (+1 Fortitude)
• Fifth Marking Flag: From the chest that contains the Dragon Vein Crystal, turn right and drop down on the ground below, you'll encounter Terracotta Soldiers along the way. There's also a Tiger Seal on the ground beside one of the soldiers. Jump over the debris on the right beside the soldiers and you'll find the fifth Marking Flag at the top of the scaffolding. (+1 Fortitude)
• Sixth Marking Flag: From the fifth Battle Flag, head straight then turn left and go around the building on the right and jump over the platforms to get yourself at the rooftops then drop down at the back, you'll find the sixth Marking Flag there. (+1 Fortitude)
• Seventh Marking Flag: From the sixth Marking Flag, jump back on the roof then drop down on the other side. Make your way at the farthest corner on the left side of the area, you'll find the seventh Marking Flag there guarded by Lu Bu's forces. (+1 Fortitude)

The Way of the Warrior Walkthrough

First Battle Flag

Once you spawn in the location, you will immediately see the first Battle Flag activated right in front of you. Zhang Fei and Liu Bei will accompany you on this mission by default. You can head to the next area by turning left and making your way through the narrow passage. You will also find a Genuine Qi Clot on the ground. You can then jump across at the edge to make your way across the other platform, from there, walk towards the extending branch on your right and pick up the Dragon's Cure Powder.

On the other side you'll see a Demonized Fanatic, take it out so that when you jump down below, it won't throw out projectiles toward you. Upon looking down, you'll also see a Zhu Yan, try jumping above the Zhu Yan and wait for the lock on target to turn red to deal significant damage, that way it'll be easier for you to finish off this aggressive enemy. On the right side at the edge just past a tree, you can pick up a Small Genuine Qi Crystal. You'll also see a tree trunk that's highlighted in white just across, but you will only have access there once you get across later.

Now turn around and go right and straight across you'll see a Chang Gui, but before you get into battle, pick up the Genuine Qi Clot on the ground at the right side. Defeat the Chang Gui then head towards the platform above, you'll get another Genuine Qi Clot just beside a tree.

Then just behind you can pick up a Large Genuine Qi Clot.

 

First Marking Flag

From the Large Genuine Qi Clot you just picked up, enter the path on the right and you'll see a Shuigui guarding the first Marking Flag.

Go back to the area where you first encountered a Chang Gui and proceed to go to the right side. You will see enemies in the area and another Genuine Qi Clot on the ground. Another Chang Gui can also be spotted on the lower right.

 

Second Marking Flag

From the recent Genuine Qi Clot you just picked up, jump over the wall on the left and cross the extended branch on your right, you'll locate the second Marking Flag.

Turn around and cross the extended branch you just went over, then drop down on the ground level. Stick to the right side and turn right on the second corner. You'll encounter a Demonized Fanatic straight ahead and a Demonized Warlock on the high ground. Defeat them and jump over the high ground and continue straight ahead until you reach the edge. You'll see in front of you two tree stumps and one Demonized Warlock on each, then a Shuigui at the ground below. Before you deal with the enemies, you can turn right and go straight, you'll see the highlighted tree trunk you've encountered earlier, and on the left side is a Genuine Qi Crystal. Go towards the tree and interact with it to make a shortcut.

 

Second Battle Flag

Now turn around and jump down below, defeat the enemies in the area. You will see a wooden gate illuminated by two flames on both sides, turn left from there go straight ahead, you will see the second Battle Flag guarded by two Demonized Fanatics and a Zhu Yan, you will also see a loot on top of the hut on the left side. Clear the enemies in the area and raise the second battle flag, climb up the roof and grab the loot then jump down.

Enter the wooden gate and you'll see a loot on the broken bridge, grab the loot and you'll receive x2 Rank 7 Steel.

 

Third Marking Flag

Go back and on the right you'll see multiple enemies on the ground level as well as on the platforms above by the stilt huts. At the far right hut is a chest, jump over the scaffolding on the left hut and cross the extended bridge to make your way across the other hut where the chest is located. Loot the chest then drop down, go up the stairs and you'll see a Demonized Officer along with other enemies in the area. On the top right hut is another Genuine Qi Clot, you would have to climb over the platform and walk on the tree and jump over the roof to loot the item. Drop down and explore the other stilt hut on the far right corner of the area, there's a loot below the hut, be wary of a Demon Spider in the area. Go up the hut and you'll find x2 Rank 8 Leather. Drop down and on the far right corner on the ground level you'll see the third Marking Flag.

 

Third Battle Flag & Shitieshou Demon

Make your back to where you first encountered a Demonized Officer, just across is the third Battle Flag. Cross the bridge and raise the third Battle Flag, it will provide you +2 Fortitude.

On the left side, you'll see a hut and just beside it is where you'll find a Shitieshou Demon. Climb up the ground and interact with the Shitieshou Demon.

Drop down and go down the stairs, there's Demonized Officer just straight ahead and two Demonized Warlocks positioned at the rooftops. On the first abandoned hut on the left is a chest containing x4 Rank 8 Steel and a Demonized Soldier inside. It's best to take out the Demonized Warlocks first so they don't rain down on you with their ranged attacks. Below the first hut on the right is a Small Genuine Qi Crystal. On the far left side you'll see a moored boat, and on the ground is another Genuine Qi Clot. Interact with the boat to create another shortcut.

 

Fourth Marking Flag

The third hut on the right is where the fourth Marking Flag is located. You can access it by going down below and jumping over the hole in the middle to get inside. Be wary of multiple enemies below the hut. Go outside and you'll see a mausoleum and a small hut beside it. Inside the hut you'll encounter an NPC named Hermit of Tianzhu. This is the Brewer's Husband who has a questline in the Hidden Village. Interact with him twice to unlock the dialogue where he'll ask you to give him an Oil of Awakening. You can either choose to give him the item or not.

 

Fourth Battle Flag & Dragon Vein Crystal

Enter the mausoleum, you'll immediately see a giant Bronze Soldier in the middle.

On the left is a single Terracotta Soldier. Just past it is a Small Genuine Qi Clot. Dispatch the enemy and head straight to the corner on the left, you'll see a Chang Gui and a Demonized Fanatic guarding a chest. Defeat the enemy and loot the chest, you'll receive x1 Cup of Cordiality and x1 Sacred Lotus.

Go back to the main entrance and defeat the giant Bronze Soldier, just behind it is the fourth Battle Flag.

Behind the fourth battle flag is the entrance to the main building of the mausoleum and at the end is a chest that contains a ef="/Dragon+Vein+Crystal" target="">Dragon Vein Crystal.

 

Fifth Marking Flag

From the chest, turn right and drop down on the ground below, you'll encounter Terracotta Soldiers along the way. There's also a Tiger Seal on the ground beside one of the soldiers. Jump over the debris on the right beside the soldiers and you'll find the fifth Marking Flag at the top of the scaffolding.

 

Fifth Battle Flag & Sixth Marking Flag

Drop down and head straight, then jump over the wall, you'll find yourself inside a castle. There's a single enemy in the area once you enter, You can perform a backstab to deal significant damage or possibly instantly kill them. On the left side you'll see a divider, just past it is a chest that contains random loot. Exit through the door and on the left side is the fifth Battle Flag.

You'll see on the field are Lu Bu's forces stationed in the area. Be wary of enemy forces positioned at the rooftops as well. After defeating them, circle around the building on the right side and jump over the platforms to get yourself on the rooftops, then drop down and behind it is where you'll find the sixth Marking Flag.

 

Seventh Marking Flag & Sixth Battle Flag

From there, jump back on the roof then drop down on the other side. Make your way at the farthest corner on the left side of the area, you'll find the seventh Marking Flag there guarded by Lu Bu's forces.

Turn around and go back then turn left, check the other corner of the main temple, you'll find a chest there guarded by a single enemy. Kill the enemy and loot the chest. You can then open the locked door from there and enter the main temple at the center. Upon opening the door, you'll find the sixth Battle Flag just across the room, with two enemies guarding the area. Defeat the enemies then raise the sixth battle flag.

Make your way up the stairs then grab the loot at the end of the room just straight ahead. Then open the door on your right, it'll trigger a cutscene.

 

Boss Battle: Zhang Liao

After the cutscene, you will face Zhang Liao as a boss. At the beginning, do not attempt to attack him immediately as he will summon lighting AoE attack that will hit anyone within range. His weapon will also be coated in lightning and extends most of his attacks. His moveset consists of consecutive slashes and most of the attacks tries to close the gap between you two. Since you have Zhang Fei and Liu Bei as Reinforcements, you can use them as bait and take full advantage of the 3v1 scenario. Be careful when you try to approach him as he cannot be staggered with your attacks, try to time your attacks and wait for the opportunity to strike.

After defeating him, you will obtain a random gear piece from the Valorous Vanguard Set, as well as his weapon the Dire Tiger. A series of cutscenes will play out and you will gain the Divine Beast, Bixie shortly after. First time completion will also reward the following:

• x4 Rank 7 Steel
• x1 Taishan Bandit Bandana
• x1 Taishan Champion Armor
• x1 Taishan Champion Footwear
