Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch

Mission Start Text

Luoyang, Henan Commandery, Sili Province
The metropolis capital of the Han Empire is strategically positioned with the Luoshi River to the south and Mt. Mangshan to the north.

It was made the capital when Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of Han, restored the Han Empire, and one of the Chinese characters in the city's name was also changed in accordance with the Fire Virtue. Most of the city is taken up by the palace compound and its gardens, with the commercial and residential areas located mainly at the perimeter. The city's waterways — the Gushui River and the Yangqu Canal — enable trade and underground sewerage. Sewage is not the only foulness to pass through the tunnels, however, as miscreants are also said to use them to conduct illicit operations.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch Shitieshou Locations

There is 1 Shitieshou in this mission:

• First Shitieshou: From the seventh Battle Flag, head into the southeastern corner of the courtyard. Cross the zig zag bridge and climb up the wooden platforms leading to the nearby roof. Round the corner is the Shitieshou.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch Dragon's Cure Pot Upgrades Locations

There is 1 Dragon Vein Essence in this mission:

• First Dragon Vein Essence: On the lowest floor of the dungeon area, head to the west and circle around the wall. It's behind the locked gate here. Requires the Luoyang Dungeon Keys.

There is 1 Dragon Vein Crystal in this mission:

• First Dragon Vein Crystal: From the seventh Battle Flag, head into the southeastern corner of the courtyard. Guarded by a Demonized Soldier.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch Golden Cicada Shell Locations

There are 2 Golden Cicada Shells in this mission:

• First Golden Cicada Shell: From the third Battle Flag, head towards the chest by the wall and jump down to the lower level. The shell is found in the jail cell here. Guarded by two Huo Shu.
• Second Golden Cicada Shell: From the fourth Marking Flag, head out the hole in the wall and keep jumping from roof to roof in the courtyard. On the roof at the end is the shell.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch Battle Flag Locations

There are 7 Battle Flags in this mission:

• First Battle Flag: Found just a few steps ahead of the start of the battlefield. This Battle Flag is already raised and does not give any additional Fortitude.
• Second Battle Flag: Found on the lowest floor of the dungeon area. Guarded by two Shuigui. (+3)
• Third Battle Flag: From the second Battle Flag, climb the ladder next to it the the top. Found behind a locked gate right at the top of the ladder. Requires the Luoyang Dungeon Keys. (+2)
• Fourth Battle Flag: Found up the stairs after the Baishe boss fight. (+2)
• Fifth Battle Flag: From the fourth Battle Flag, just follow the path forward. Found at the entrance to the manor area. (+2)
• Sixth Battle Flag: Found in the manor's side room, up the northern set of stairs. (+2)
• Seventh Battle Flag: Found in the courtyard, right before the Zhang Rang boss fight. (+3)

 

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch Marking Flag Locations

There are 6 Marking Flags in this mission:

• First Marking Flag: From the first Battle Flag, go into the dungeon area and down onto the lower floor from a hole in one of the jail cells on the left. In the cell right next to the one you land in is a hole in the wall. Climb through to find the flag. (+1)
• Second Marking Flag: From the second Battle Flag, head south and into the jail cell in the corner. The flag is found behind the locked gate when you turn the corner. Requires the Luoyang Dungeon Keys. (+1)
• Third Marking Flag: From the third Battle Flag, go up the stairs on the left and jump across the gap. Keep going down the walkway until you see a small wooden platform on your right. While standing on it, the flag can be seen below you to your right. (+1)
• Fourth Marking Flag: Found up on a higher level in the main room of the manor. Either climb the stairs and wrap around or directly climb on the shelves next to the flag to raise it. (+1)
• Fifth Marking Flag: From the sixth Battle Flag, head up the stairs and through the hole in the wall above the shelf right in front of you. Climb down the ladder and follow the tunnel to a jail cell overlooking Baishe's boss arena to find the flag. (+1)
• Sixth Marking Flag: From the fourth Marking Flag, head out the hole in the wall to get on a roof in the courtyard. Turn the corner, then head into the hole in the building. Climb the ladder going up and you'll find the flag behind the wall. Guarded by an Assassin. (+1)

 

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch Walkthrough

The Dungeon

When you load into the battlefield, Cao Cao will join you and your Fortitude will be set to 0. Head forward and you'll find some purple liquid on the floor. While you're standing in it, your Spirit gauge will continuously deplete. You'll find some more of this purple liquid further in the mission. Climb up the ledge and you'll be at your first Battle Flag.

Go through the hole in the wall on your right and drop into what appears to be some sewer channels. Pick up the item on the ground, then head right. Around the corner is a Demonized Soldier, and at the end of the hallway is a piece of equipment you can pick up from the floor. If you turn around and head to the other end of the sewer channel, you'll notice a very far drop down and an item at the very bottom. Don't jump down there yet as there is no easy way to get back up. Instead, head back to the entrance of the sewer channels and climb back out to the first Battle Flag.

First Marking Flag

To the left of the Battle Flag is a drop down, where you'll find Yuan Shao. Head forward, grabbing the Genuine Qi Fragment by the stone rubble. In the far jail cell on the right, you'll find a locked door that can't be opened from this side. Take a mental note of this door. Head back towards Yuan Shao and make sure to grab the item in the next jail cell on the way.

Head down the stairs on your right, where you'll encounter a Demonized Soldier and a Demon Spider walking on some purple liquid. Next to the staircase and in front of some pots is an item you can pick up. Turn around and move forward (heading northeast) and in the third jailcell is a Hermit of Tianzhu. You can't unlock his cell at the moment but remember where it is.

Up ahead at the end of the walkway is an item. Do not be fooled by it, however, as when you walk on the wooden boards leading to it, they fall apart, sending you crashing down onto a strong enemy below. Instead, head into the jailcell next to the Hermit to find a hole going down. Before you go down, go into the cell on the right and you'll find a Demonized Soldier guarding a chest with some equipment in it. Go back and down into the hole.

Now downstairs, you'll find a Demonized Officer standing below where you would've dropped had you walked on the wooden boards. In the jailcell he's guarding is a hole in the right wall. Go through it to find the first Marking Flag, providing you with 1 Fortitude. Head back out to where the Demonized Officer was standing.

Unlocking a Shortcut

If you look to the southwest, there are now two paths forward. One is to jump across to the next jail cell. In that cell is a hole leading to the bottom floor of the prison. The other is to cross the bridge, which we will do here. On the bridge is a Demonized Soldier, and at the end is a jailcell with a Demonized Officer and a Demonized Fanatic. Defeat them both, then pick up the piece of equipment found on the ground here.

Head up the wooden ramp the fanatic was attacking from and climb up the hole onto the upper floor. You'll be able to unlock the door you found earlier and open a shortcut to the first Battle Flag here. In the same room, you'll find a chest with some equipment on top of the wooden scaffolding.

Turn the corner and you'll be facing the east. There's a Demonized Fanatic in front of you preoccupied with scrubbing the floor. Though you'll be able to land a free Fatal Strike on it, as soon as you do, the Huo Shu at the other end of the walkway will immediately start charging at you, so be careful.

Head up the walkway and you'll be able to enter the fourth jailcell. Unlock the door here to fight two Demonized Soldiers and grab the item on the ground. Continue down the hallway and in the open space on the right is another item inside a breakable wooden cage.

Locked Battle Flag

At the end of the walkway is a Demonized Soldier and some stairs going down. In the jailcell on the right of the base of the stairs is an item in a wooden cage. As you approach it, you'll get ambushed by two Demon Spiders.

Exit the jailcell and in the jailcell on the right is a Battle Flag locked behind a gate. We can't access it at the moment but keep in mind where it is. To your left is a Demonized Soldier standing on a lit up broken pathway. On the left corner here is one Talismanic Water you can pick up. Patrolling the area as well is a Yellow Turban Commander. When he's been defeated, loot the chest by the wall.

From the chest there are two ways forward. You can either turn around and head back and to the left to go straight for the first boss, or you can jump down to your left to keep exploring the prison. If you jump down, you'll find two Huo Shu waiting for you. There is a Golden Cicada Shell in the jailcell the Elite Huo Shu came out of. 

Climb up the ladder and pick up the item on the ground. This is the item that you couldn't reach earlier because the wooden boards on the way would've broken below your feet. If you look back towards the ladder, the ledge on the left can be slowly scaled to get three Rank 3 Steel.

Second Battle Flag & Marking Flag

Head back down the ladder and jump down onto the lowest floor. You'll have to fight two Shuigui in the purple water here. After they've been defeated, the nearby Battle Flag can be raised, giving you 3 Fortitude. Make sure to pick up the items in the area. In the jailcell nearby, you'll find four Demonized Fanatics you can make quick work of on either side of the cell. Make sure to pick up the Luoyang Dungeon Keys and Elixir here as this key lets you open all the lock doors we couldn't access earlier.

South of the Battle Flag is a jailcell that turns left as you enter. A Demonized Fanatic will awaken when you move into the room. Unlock the gate at the end to raise the second Marking Flag, providing you with 1 Fortitude. Leave the cell when you're done.

Head southwest and you'll find a Huo Shu at the entrance of a jailcell. You'll find the Prisoner's Last Words scroll here. Exit the cell and go northwest to fight the two Shuigui and two Demonized Soldiers lurking in the water. There are another handful of items to pick up here, and when you're done, circle around the stone wall to the west. Unlock the locked gate here to grab the Dragon Vein Essence and climb up the wall to grab two Rank 4 Leather.

In the alcove to the left as you're leaving the locked gate is the item you saw from the top of the large drop at the sewer channels at the start of the battlefield. When you approach it, two Demonized Fanatics will awaken. Exit the alcove and the first jailcell to your left will have three Rank 3 Steel in it. The next jailcell on the left will have a giant hole in the wall leading to a chest guarded by two Huo Shu.

Third Battle Flag & Marking Flag

By now, the prison should for the most part be fully explored and cleared of enemies. You are now free to unlock all the locked jailcells you couldn't get to. Climb up the ladder next to the second Battle Flag to get the the top floor of the prison. Unlock the gate to access the third Battle Flag giving an additional 2 Fortitude.

Exit the cell, head up the stairs to the left and jump across the gap. You'll find a short wooden platform on your right. Stand on it then look downwards and to your right to find the third Marking Flag, providing 1 Fortitude. Make your way back to the third Battle Flag.

Again, head up the stairs to the left but instead of jumping across the gap, fall into it, dropping down onto the unsuspecting Demonized Fanatic. Collect the three Rank 4 Steel here, then jump back down to the lowest floor.

Head north across the water and in the third jail cell are some platforms going up. Jump across the gap in the scaffolding and into the jailcell on your left. Climb up the platforms going up again and unlock the cell ahead to free the Hermit of Tianzhu. This is the Shitieshou Lover who will return to the Hidden Village where you can speak to him on your next visit.

Return once more to the third Battle Flag and the way forward is the room opposite from the lit walkway. To the right is a locked cell with a chest in it. To the left is a long corridor. Up the first set of stairs is one Five Minerals Powder to the right behind some rubble. Continue heading forward and when you open the double doors, a cutscene will play.

Boss: Baishe

You'll find yourself in a large circular arena with Baishe. She starts with 8 Fortitude, which drops by one at around half health. Be aware of your surroundings and make sure not to step in the green puddles the conjures. Standing in one continuously depletes your health. Learn more about it and how to beat it by reading it's individual page. 

Defeat Baishe and another cutscene plays. Yuan Shao will depart with Lady Zhen, leaving you and Cao Cao to look for the Chief Eunuch yourselves. Immediately to your left is a locked gate. Unlock it to loot the chest for one Large Genuine Qi Clot and two Rank 4 Leather. Head up the stairs and at the top is the fourth Battle Flag, providing 2 more Fortitude. Exit through the double doors on the right to proceed.

The Eunuch's Manor

Follow the path up and you'll find two Wolves among the red jars in the middle of the road. Continue up the path, past the broken down carriage, and as you turn the corner, you'll be ambushed by two Assassins. Head through the double doors ahead to find the fifth Battle Flag providing 2 Fortitude.

Down the stairs on the right, immediately turn left to go into a small room and climb up the ladder. When you round the corner, you'll have to fight an Assassin and Soldier. They were guarding a chest with some equipment in it.

Head back into the main room and you'll have to fight an Assassin, Officer, and Soldier. To the left of the main stairs are some jars, one of which has a Small Genuine Qi Clot in it. To the right is a chest behind the folding screen. Head up the ladder on the opposite side of the room from the folding screen to find two Rank 4 Steel. 

Jump down and head up the main staircase. At the top, turn left and follow the path, defeating the Soldier. Jump across and at the end you'll get to the fourth Marking Flag, giving 1 Fortitude. You'll notice a hole in the wall here that leads outside. Don't go through yet, but keep a mental note of it.

Sixth Battle Flag & Fifth Marking Flag

Head back to the top of the stairs and into the side room. Immediately to your right is a hole in the wall leading outside. Kick down the ladder here to give you a shortcut back to the fourth Battle Flag.

Back in the side room, you'll have to fight two Assassins, two Soldiers, an Officer and a Marksman. There are a couple of things of note in this room once they've all been defeated. Where the Marksman was standing is a Five Minerals Powder, and underneath him is one Rank 4 Leather. Underneath the stairs on the southern side of the room, between two shelves is a Genuine Qi Clot. Underneath the stairs on the northern side of the room is a chest with another Genuine Qi Clot.

There is a doorway here leading outside. Don't go out just yet, instead, head up the northern set of stairs to get the the sixth Battle Flag, providing 2 Fortitude. Head to the top of the stairs and jump across the gap. There is a hole in the wall above the shelf in front of you. Climb through and break the small boxes in the corner to grab the Magnate's Note. Down the ladder, you'll find yourself in a cell in Baishe's boss arena. Here, you'll also find the fifth Marking Flag, providing 1 Fortitude.

Seventh Battle Flag & Sixth Marking Flag

Head back up the ladder and out the hole. Jump across the next gap, and as you approach the chest, an Assassin will Ambush you. Head out the side room and back into the main room, towards the fourth Marking Flag. Head out the hole in the wall here and follow the roof tiles. When you reach the corner an NPC invader will appear below you - Xu Xiang, Magnate's Purse. Turn the corner and head into the room. 

This room does not have much space to fight the invader. If you'd like more space, you can head up the ladder, but be careful here as getting too close to the flag base summons an Assassin. Wherever you choose to fight him, head up the ladder after you're done and activate the sixth Marking Flag, providing 1 Fortitude.

Climb back down the ladder. The other ladder here leads down onto the courtyard. Instead of going down, head through the gap in the wall and jump onto the next roof. Defeat the Demonized Soldier and Demonized Fanatic here and then jump onto the next roof, where you'll be able to pick up a Golden Cicada Shell.

Jump down the corner of the roof and fight the Chang Gui here. Among the pots in the corner are three Rank 4 Leather. Defeat the Demonized Officer on the walkway next to clear it. Grab the item on a lone island in the water here.

In the middle of the courtyard, you'll find a Shuigui, a Demonized Fanatic, a Demonized Soldier and a Demonized Officer. Defeat them, then on the eastern side of the courtyard are another two Shuigui. In this side of the courtyard you'll also find three Rank 4 Steel.

Head into the eastern corner and you'll find a Demonized Soldier sitting near a Dragon Vein Crystal. On the zig zag looking bridge is a Wolf, and up the ledge to the right are some pieces of equipment on the ground. Head back down the ledge and turn right. Take the wooden platforms up to the roof tiles. When you turn the corner, you'll find a Shitieshou.

If you want to completely clear the courtyard of enemies, there's a Demonized Fanatic you can find on the southern most side of the courtyard. You don't have to defeat it though. On the northern most side of the courtyard is the seventh Battle Flag, providing 3 Fortitude. Prepare and buff yourself, as through the double doors in front of you is the second boss of the mission

Boss: Zhang Rang

As you enter the Eunuch's room, a cutscene will play. Zhang Rang will start the battle with 20 Fortitude. Surrounding him are 9 of his clones, each providing him with one buff each. You'll have to defeat his clones before you can do any significant damage on him. 

At about half health, all his clones respawn and have to be defeated again. Defeat him and a cutscene will play. At the end of it, you'll be rewarded with a new Divine Beast - Zhuque - and some equipment, a Han Soldier Cap, Han Solider Armor, and Hundred-Forged Sabres among other items.
