Wo Long Baishe Lore

The Baishe is a demon that bears the torso of a woman and the body of a snake. Once a pet snake of Lady Zhen, it was dreadfully transformed under influence of Demonic Qi. This fiendish serpent assaulted and killed any that tried to approach Lady Zhen, who
had been imprisoned in Luoyang after being captured by Zhang Rang. The twin snakes that draped around the Baishe would not let go of the prey they bit on until it was dead, and would effortlessly break bones with their powerful tails. Lore has it that Zhang Rang's men would eventually keep clear of Lady Zhen's cell, in fear of the soundless dark where the Baishe may be lurking in.

Since antiquity, the Baishe has been depicted as a mysterious creature. According to the Records of the Grand Historian, Liu Bang, the first emperor of the Former Han, slew a white snake on Mt. Mangdangshan in the course of his rebellion against Qin. That snake was supposedly the child of one of the Five Emperors, Bai Di. Besides this, common Chinese folklore also mentions the Baishe. A legend from the Tang period describes it to be a creature that disguises itself as a beautiful woman and devours hopeful young men. In subsequent eras, however, folklore made varying representations of its nature. Some
folklore tells the tale of Baishe achieving immortality as a result of a long ascetic practice and marrying a human.

Baishe Fight Strategy Wo Long

The Best Wizardry Spells, Martial Arts and more for Baishe:

  • Fire related spells will help as a counter to her Poison. Alternatively, Earth is also a good call.
  • Baishe's biggest strengths are in her large AoE attacks and area denial through her poison pools. Because of this, learning to counter moves well can be your best friend for this fight. Her hardest hitting moves are her most telegraphed, so it's all about learning the timings on her attacks.

Baishe Attacks & Counters

Attack Description Counter
Fatal Strikes
Grab Baishe tries to grab a target Deflect for massive Spirit Damage
Divebomb (2nd phase) Baishe jumps up in the air then flies across the circumference of the arena. After a short time she divebombs onto a targeted character, attacking in a spinning pattern. Only available at 50% health or lower. The distance she travels when she lands makes it difficult to dodge the move. Try countering it instead.
Regular Attacks
Dash Baishe puts her arms forwards and dashes a great distance in a straight line, hitting all that are in her way. Dodge out of the way or counter if you can time it right.
Snake Cannon (NG+=) Baishe casts several homing snake heads on target Deflect to avoid damage
Poisonous Pools Baishe raises her hands and her snakes spit out pools of green poison that surround the area around her. While a player is in a pool, their health bar turns green and their health slowly depletes. Avoid stepping into pools, alternatively use Fire-related spell/Fire Pot to eliminate them.
Tail Swipe Baishe spins around, whipping her tail in a wide circle. She can do this move up to two times consecutively. This move cannot be dodged into. Instead, either dodge out if you're at the edge of the hitzone or counter the move.
Slap Baishe targets a character and does two slaps with her snakes, then does a follow-up attack. This follow-up attack can either be a heavy overhead smash in front of her or a quick attack from her snakes after she dashes backwards. At 50% health or lower, her follow-up attacks change. She can either slap an additional two times or send her snake towards her target, grabbing them and dealing a heavy blow. Dodge outwards or counter each attack.
Body Slam Baishe jumps up and slams down on a targeted character. Counter this move as the AoE may be too large to dodge out of if targeted.
