The Crouching Dragon's Trial Walkthrough
Before the Fight
You will enter the battlefield with 10 Fortitude and the first and only Battle Flag can be found behind you and to your left. This mission is a boss rush-like fighting mission. You will be continuously pit against waves of enemies with little to no breaks in between. Since this is a long fight sequence, bringing the Divine Beast Yinglong may be a good idea so that you can revive and continue the fight without much interruption. If you die, however, you'll start at the wave you died in, so don't worry about losing too much progress. Stand in the middle of the arena to start the mission.
Wave 1-3
Wave 1 are three Demonized Fanatics, nothing too difficult.
After a bit of delay, three Demonized Soldiers will spawn for Wave 2, again not much of a threat.
For Wave 3, a Demonized Officer will spawn. Defeat it, then another Demonized Officer will spawn immediately.
Boss 1: Zhu Yan
After the last Demonized Officer has been defeated, you'll get a few seconds to prepare and buff yourself before the first boss, Zhu Yan, spawns in with 13 Morale. Same as all the other times you've faced Zhu Yan as a boss, counter his telegraphed melee attacks and watch out for when he glows red.
After it's been defeated, your Fortitude will be set to 12 and you'll have a few seconds before the next wave spawns in.
Wave 4-6
Wave 4 consists of two Huo Shu. Defeat them, then an elite Huo Shu will follow after them.
Wave 5 is a fight against a Suan Yu. Though not a boss, it may be a bit difficult to deal with. Stay close to it to render most of it's attacks ineffective.
For wave 6, you'll have to fight two Wolves and a Chang Gui.
Boss 2: Aoye
Again, after the Chang Gui is defeated, you'll have a few moments of respite before Aoye spawns in. It starts with 17 Morale. Like other variations of Aoye, watch it's limbs carefully, particularly the ones closest to you. Try to stay in front of it, so that it doesn't do it's unexpected hair whip move.
Your Fortitude will be set to 17 after the boss has been defeated, and you'll have a bit of time to prepare for the next wave.
Wave 7-9
In wave 7, you'll have to fight against a Corpse Demon. Watch out for the flame fields it spawns and use the whole arena to your advantage. You won't have any time to take a breather before the next wave.
Wave 8 consists of a Zhupolong. It's attacks hit hard but it's slow and telegraphed, so counter it's moves as much as you can. Once again, the next wave will spawn immediately after defeating this enemy.
Wave 9 is a fight against a Leishi. Like before counter it's strong melee attacks whenever you can, and after you defeat it, you'll have a bit of time before the next boss spawns.
Boss 3: Sun Jian
Sun Jian is the final boss of this mission. He starts with 20 Morale in his demon form. Though aggressive, many of his attacks have a long wind-up. His fight, like before, depends on how well you can time your counterattacks and give yourself openings to deal damage to him.
After he's been defeated, the Blidnded Youth will make some remarks, then the quest will end, rewarding you with pieces from the Dragon Strategist Set among other items.

The Aoyein this fight has been seriously juiced & will 2 shot you, forcing you to spam all of your heals & hope to stay alive, especially as he will track you with expert precision, I'd actually say skip this mission, it's not worth your time

If you want to avoid fighting all 3 enemies at once in the wave 7-9, just stay close to the Battle Flag and don't run around the whole arena.

Wave 7-9 is incorrect. The last 3 demons spawn within seconds of each other and you have to fight all three at once. pain in the ass so watch out!

Devs couldn't wait until the third DLC to have a proper all-encompassing trial?
The problem here on Aoye fight is that if you die, your morale'll be 12 against him 17. You just die by one hit
